In honor of the Clockwork Angel week I decided to share with you my cast =)
I joined quotes of their description from the book, but they are from an ARC so please keep in mind that it might change in the final edition.
I really love how sweet and vulnerable Ellen looks, it’s just perfect for Tessa, because that’s what she’s look like on the surface. But if know her better, you discover that she is determined and unstoppable.
“(…) Tessa had been perfectly content with her own smooth brown hair and steady gray eyes. (…) taller than most of the boys her own age”
Gaspard Ulliel as William Herondale aka Will
Will is beautiful and cocky. He knows he looks good and uses it. He also always has that mysterious air to his face, like everything exasperates him and he knows something we don’t.
“He had the most beautiful face she had ever seen. Tangled black hair and eyes like blue glass. Elegant cheekbones, a full mouth, and long, thick lashes. Even the curve of his throat was perfect. He looked like every fictional hero she’d ever conjured up in her head.”
He is a Japanese singer and I thought he had the perfect look for Jem! Jem is half Asian, and because of a health condition he has pale skin, hair and eyes. I imagine him with a slender face, but this is still the best photo a could find to represent him.
“(his hair) It was an odd bright silver color, like untarnished shilling. His eyes were the same silver, and his fine-boned face was angular, the slight curve of his eyes the only to his heritage.”
Hayden Panettiere as Jessamine Lovelace
While she would never wear such an outfit because it’s not what a proper lady would wear, I think this picture really shows the fierceness Jessamine has in her.
“She was almost ridiculously pretty, what one of Tessa’s novels would have called an English rose- all silvery fair hair, soft brown eyes, and creamy complexion.”
Kate Beckinsale as Charlotte Branwell
Charlotte is a petite and loving person, but there is such determination and fierceness to that woman. She is ready to anything and she’s in charge.
“Beside him stood a very small woman, almost child-size, with thick brown hair knotted at the nape of her neck, and a neat, clever little face with bright, dark eyes like a bird’s.”
Seth Green as Henry Branwell
Henry is a lovely man, but oh so distracted all the time. He is always lost in his thought, thinking of his inventions. He has a very kind heart.
“(…) a familiar-looking tall man, with a shock of ginger hair and hazel eyes”
What do you guys think?
