Stacking the Shelves [59]

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Guidelines:
  • Create your own Stacking The Shelves post. You can use my official graphic or your own, but please link back to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
  • You can set your post any way you want, simple book list, covers, pictures, vlog, sky is the limit!
  • I am posting Stacking The Shelves on Saturdays, but feel free to post yours any day that fits you.
  • Visit Tynga’s Reviews on Saturday and add your link so others can visit you!
  • Visit other participants link to find out what they added to their shelves!
If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page!

------------------
Before I begin I want to wish Tynga an amazing birthday! Happy birthday, T!
Hello, everyone! It's been a super long time since I've done one of these so I'm excited to be back. There's a very special reason that I am doing this week's STS and that's because I visited BEA last weekend! Yes, you heard right! It was everything I hoped it would be and more and my haul is mouth-watering. I'm exercising as much restraint as I can to finish my current for-review books, but the second they're done I am diving into this pile and never turning back!
Below is a vlog of me quickly showing you my books, their covers, whether they're signed, etc. If you want a more detailed and entertaining vlog showcasing my friend, Gillian, who was kind enough to let me crash at her apartment for three nights, than go to my personal blog and check it out here.

Everything with an asterisk is signed! In no particular order, the haul that is making me go nuts for eternity! <3

While at BEA I helped an adult blogger with her suitcase because she was struggling to put her books away. She repaid me by stuffing some random young adult books into my suitcase without showing me what they were. When I opened up my suitcase I learned that I got an extra copy of COLDEST GIRL IN COLDTOWN. So, I've decided to give it away! You can enter to win it here! Sorry, but it's US only. I'm a broke-preparing-for-college girl!

    ReplyDelete
  40. There was an issue with the HTML for it on my part. :/ I put it in improperly, sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I was staying with a friend in Manhattan and then I live a 30 minute drive out from NYC so after Saturday I had my Dad pick me up with two suitcases full of books and it really helps when your Dad is 6 foot 3 and able to lift like 80 pounds easily. haha <3

    ReplyDelete
  42. It was my mistake! Sorry guys! >_<

    ReplyDelete
  43. This was my first year and it was everything I hoped it would be and more!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Haha I waited on line for like two hours for that one! You'd have to fight me for it!

I made a mistake with the HTML sorry :/

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks! <3 This is like a once a year thing. I MUST go back to BEA next year haha

    ReplyDelete
  46. Haha it means that we were both incredibly successful!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Amazing book haul! I am so glad you had a great time. Happy birthday to Tynga.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thank you! My fingers are certainly crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Haha well you be going next year? I'll be sure to find you!

    ReplyDelete
  50. There was an accident with the linky on my part :/

There were several people at BEA who are from Australia! They just saved up a lot for their ticket and stayed with friends in NYC for free so it would cost left and then shipping was their big issue. Again, saving up haha Or you can bring an extra suitcase (even if it costs more) and fill it with as many books as you can as long as it does not exceed the weight limit.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thank you! And I'm hopefully going to be doing a few giveaways because there were some accidental doubles in there mentioned below.

    ReplyDelete
  52. You definitely can! Even if it's as a power reader on Saturday because it costs less, I still got like 25 books that day!

    ReplyDelete
  53. You definitely will! It's so worth it!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Haha yes, it's deliciously long <3 but this is my reading material for 2013 so I'm rather happy.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thank you! I love your blog name haha

    ReplyDelete
  56. There was an issue with the HTML on my part. I'm sorry!

Don't be jealous! I'm going to try to spread the love a little haha

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm okay with breaking the shelves ;) But prior to going I actually cleared one of my tall, thing bookcases entirely to support BEA books only and they just barely fit, so we're good!

    ReplyDelete
  58. You can definitely get there this year!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Haha it's my feet that suffered. I'm an ex pitcher so I used to have to weight lift and such so my arms were fine, surprisingly. It helps to have a 6 foot three dad who can easily lift 80 pounds who helped take all the suitcases home haha <3

    ReplyDelete
  60. It wouldn't have happened and can only happen at BEA haha <3

    ReplyDelete
  61. I messed up the linky by accident.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Haha oh gosh it was terrible waiting on that line. My friend did it for me and got one of the last copies and I about hugged her.

    ReplyDelete
  63. You should go to BEA one year!

Thank you <3 I made a bookcase just for them haha

    ReplyDelete
  64. It's something any reader should do once in their life!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Thank you! And yes, Happy birthday to T!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Happy Birthday, Tynga!

And BEA was fantastic, wasn't it? It was my first time, too, and although my feet were KILLING me by Friday, I'd definitely do it all over again!

And what a great haul! You got so many that I wanted but couldn't get to. But that's okay, I'll get them someday! :D

Just in case you haven't heard, something is wrong with the linky this week. I couldn't put my name and blog in the name column. It's only letting me put 10 characters. But I see other bloggers have put their entire name, so I don't know what's going on.
