Stacking The Shelves [144]

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page!

Personally, I think January is a wonderful month for book lovers because there are so many great releases at the beginning of each year. I'm not a fan of the cold winter here in Northern Ontario, but it's pretty cozy when it's snowing outside and you find yourself reading in front of the fireplace. With a nice cup of tea or coffee.

Here are some of the books that caught my eye this January. There are plenty more that I've added to my list but I'm limiting myself to these for now!

  1. Oh I need Fairest in my life! Feeling pretty broke this week though so it is going to have to wait :( I also hauled steelheart last week. I am on a mission to read all of Sanderson's books!

  2. It's true that it's cozy in front of the fireplace in the winter, and it can become the perfect moment if you have a hot chocolate / coffee / tea and a good book to keep you company.
Nice books you got this week, Stephanie. I loved Burned, and hope you'll enjoy it too. Happy reading, and have a wonderful weekend :)

  3. Huh, I didn't realize there was another Fever series book out. I haven't read the one featuring Dani - I was going to wait for more of her story to be published before picking it up. Not sure I'm ready to go back for more Mac and Barrons - I kind of liked where their story was left....

  4. I want to read Firefight. I loved the first book and have high hopes for book two.

  5. I love the cover of the Fairest and I have heard so many good things about burned! I hope you enjoy them :)

  6. Great haul!! I've seen so many people wanting to read Fairest. I'm hoping to find the time to just start the series soon. Enjoy!!

  7. Forbidden was really good! I hope you like it as much as I did. I also want to read Exquisite Captive. You got some fantastic books this week! Happy reading!

  8. I got Firefight a few weeks ago. Burned was interesting. You are definitely going to have a lot of mixed emotions after reading Burned. Your other books look really interesting.

  12. I got Forbidden this week as well, but as an ebook to review for a blog tour. Great haul! And good point about January being a good month for new books since there should be lots of time for reading.

  13. They all look so pretty! Maybe it was the photo, maybe it's the actual covers. I don't know, I just really like it :) I've added my link too

  14. I tried to read Hemlock. I really did. I just couldn't do it. It's a decent assortment of books, though. I hope you enjoy!

  15. I have The Hawley Book of the Dead on my TBR too! I'm also working my way through the Moning books as well, but have only read the first one so far (Which I loved).

    Have a great week :)

  16. Love the look of everything in that picture! First Frost is one I need to get my hands on, there is something very magical about Sarah's books!!
    Happy reading.

  17. I have The Hawley Book of the Dead waiting for me to review. It looks good. Have a great week.

  18. I have read Steelheart and Exquisite Captive. I shared Steelheart with my students who liked it much more than I did. I really should buy Firefight for them. I bought a copy of Fairest this week but don't know when I'll get a chance to look at it. My review stack is holding my attention right now. Happy reading!

  19. Awesome stack!!! There are definitely some favorites there. I hope you enjoy them!

  20. Nice haul. We don't get winter weather here. Kinda bummed that I miss the snow. It definitely seems like there are a lot of books coming out this month. I have read 4 ARC's that are being released on the third.
