Stacking The Shelves [226]

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Happy fall everyone! My favourite season is here, and not only because of the pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin soup, pumpkin cookies (ok, basically pumpkin everything), the colourful leaves and the cool crisp weather. To me, fall also means great new book releases. This week, I purchased a couple of these new releases and already diving into one of them.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch

Ninth City Burning by J. Patrick Black

The following photos were taken last October and I think they explain why I love fall so much. Here in Northern Ontario, we're blessed with so much nature and wonderful colours. Onaping Falls is about 20 minutes away from my house, and while I don't visit often, I always try to walk the trails once every fall.

What do you love about fall? But most importantly, what will you be reading this fall? Did you add anything interesting to your shelves this week?

  1. Ooh, Ninth City Burning is out? I had the eARC... must get round to it... It does sound good.

And oh, I love those autumnal pictures! It's been unseasonably warm in my corners of Europe, but the trees are starting to go finally.

  2. I love your nature pictures, Stéphanie! I need to get myself to Chamonix, where the colours change that way a bit earlier, too, and the Alps are beautiful this time of the year.
I hope you'll enjoy your new books!
Have a wonderful weekend and happy reading.

  3. Such beautiful pictures! I am ready for fall this year. It is nice when the colors change and things cool off a bit. I loved Dark Matter - it is such a good book! Enjoy your new reads!

  4. What beautiful photos! Here in California, we don't get much of a difference in weather when Fall comes. Today is will be near 100 degrees F! But Fall is still my favorite time of the year, as well. Eventually, it will cool down, and maybe even rain. Have a wonderful week.

  5. Both of your books are on my wish list. Love your fall photos. It is still a little early where I live but in late OCT and early NOV we will have colors like yours.

  6. Ooh nice pictures!! I'm excited for fall! We still have a few more weeks of summer her in St. Louis, but I am SO looking forward to cooler weather!!

Nice new reads! New to me ones so I hope you enjoy them!!

My STS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. I love your Fall photos! It still feels a lot like summer here (near Pittsburgh) but it's cooling off a little. I love Fall. The changing of the leaves is so beautiful. I just don't like the winter that comes after it. LOL

  8. Gorgeous fall photos! I love the colors and scents of fall.

That is a beautiful pillow on which the books are resting...Enjoy!

  9. Yes, I love fall as well and basically all my favorite foods, like you said pumpkin lattes, pumpkin spice... pumpkin everything...I'm a bit of a pumpkin food lover. Great haul of books. Love the pictures of nature. So beautiful.

  10. I really want to read Dark Matter, great buy! I don't have any extra cash to I've been mainly going to the library. However, I do the giveaways on Goodreads and I've been really lucky this week :) 8 Books lol

  11. Your Pictures are making me excited about fall/autumn...

  12. Beautiful photos. They do show one of the reasons I love fall, but seeing I live in Florida, it doesn't matter as much as it did when I lived in New York. What I love most is the crisp clear air. Here in Florida, we have a lot of hazy days in the summer, so it affects my photographs and I love taking photographs.

  13. You kind of have a theme going there with your book covers! And the photos are beautiful and put a smile on my face!

  14. OMG, what a beautiful forest. :3 <3
